We Need Your Help!

Volunteer with The Cat NetworkThe Cat Network is working to help homeless cats in South Florida by getting out the word of the importance of spay/neuter and finding homes for adoptable cats and kittens. But we can’t do it alone. We need the heads, hands and hearts of committed people like you to help us. We are a group of dedicated volunteers who would love to add you to our team!

Volunteer opportunities include:

Foster Care

Volunteers provide temporary care for kittens and cats, who are not yet ready to be put up for adoption due to being too young or ill.

Adoption Center Cat Care

Volunteers are desperately needed to assist the staff in maintaining the general welfare (feeding and cleaning) of the cats and kittens in the Adoption Centers. Volunteers are trained on how to keep cages clean and sanitized to promote a healthy environment.

We currently have cats and kittens in our care at various PetSmart locations throughout Miami-Dade. Please contact us to see if your local store is in need of volunteers.

Shift availability: Every day, times vary.

Weekend Adoption Shows

Volunteers help interested adopters and answer their basic questions. Volunteers working at the adoption shows must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy Volunteer for The Cat Networkinteracting with the general public in a non-judgmental and professional manner.

During the Adoption Shows, we also need volunteers to socialize the cats with lots of love and playtime.

We currently show cats and kittens at various PetSmart, Petco and Pet Supermarket locations throughout Miami-Dade. Please contact us to see if your local store is in need of volunteers.

Shift Availability: Every weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM – 5 PM

Teen Volunteer Program

The Cat Network offers teenagers who are 14 years and older volunteer opportunities. Teen volunteers are invited to help care for the cats in the Adoption Centers at PetSmart on the weekends. They can earn school community service hours. Please call us at (305) 255-3482 to discuss being a teen volunteer.
