Drive thru Distemper Prevention Vaccination and Awareness At Miami-Dade Animal services department

Is your pet protected?

In an effort to raise awareness about Canine Distemper, Animal Services is hosting a Drive-thru Distemper Prevention Event on Sunday, March 6, 2011, from 9 am to 3 pm at the shelter located at 7401 NW 74 Street, Miami, FL, 33166.

Volunteer veterinarians will provide free Distemper/Parvo vaccination to dogs between the ages of 2 months and 1 year of age.  Canine Distemper (and Parvo Virus) can be fatal in unvaccinated puppies and dogs.  These viruses are becoming more dangerous in our community and vaccination is essential.  Animal Services encourages all pet owners to regularly vaccinate, identify and sterilize their pets.  A healthy pet is a happy pet.  Other services provided at the shelter are rabies vaccination, microchipping and sale of dog license tags.  For additional information and services, please visit
