On Saturday, November 20, The Cat Network, in cooperation with Miami-Dade Animal Services, transported 83 felines to Last Chance Rescue in Maryland. There were 81 kittens and two adults.

Cat Network volunteers Pat Murphy and Charlene Grall drove the 16 hour trip and arrived about 8:00 am on Sunday morning. Everyone made it safely and all kittens were accepted into their shelter. The intake process took 7 hours to complete, and then the two drivers headed back to Miami.

Another transport is scheduled for the weekend of December 11-12. Each trip costs approximately $1000 to complete: $500 in gas; $100 in food for drivers, tolls, etc; plus the cost of removing the kittens from Animal Services.  All donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible to the extent of present tax law.
